Having practiced and taught Reiki for more than 25 years Ifetayo has recently been attuned as a Usui Shinpiden Reiki Master by a teacher of the traditional Japanese practices. This work and her training as a massage therapist and Jin Shin Do acupressure practitioner created the container for her practice as a somatic healer of traumatic memory stored in the body. Her ReTurning hOMe Transformational Mentoring Program has provided a bridge for individuals to explore the trauma and fears that prevent them from living their lives to the fullest.
To round out her life, Ifetayo enjoys spending time with her family and friends, writing, watching movies, crafting, beach walking, swimming, and being in nature as much as possible.
Ifetayo graduated from Howard University in 1967 with a B.A. in Russian Language and Area Studies. She has been certified in massage therapy, reflexology, acupressure, metaphysical spiritual practices, Reiki I, II, III, doula birth support, wellness support and has received many hours of training in mental health theory and practice, and especially trauma and abuse support.
